Chapter 6 “EVERYBODY DOWN!” Ash, not one to disobey a direct order, complied rather impulsively, taking a few running lunges away from the sensor spike before diving to the ground just as the looming gunship fired a salvo of rockets at the tower. Chapter 5 Fifteen minutes earlier, Major Kahn stood outside the raised platform that supported the control bunker for the base, his gray tabby paw raised high above his head. “Fire!” The Feline’s command echoed briefly around the valley before being completely overtaken by the thundering boom of the railgun-mounted ASPoDT firing off its payload, which impacted the seemingly impenetrable metal of the ancient door less than a fraction of a second later in a cloud of smoke. Chapter 4 The following morning, Ash was awoken by the high pitched wailing of a bugle broadcast over the loudspeakers. As the traditional military wake-up call droned on, the Lupine blinked open his eyes, and was greeted by the dull green roof of the makeshift barrack. He rotated his head to the right, catching a glimpse of the digital clock mounted above the back entrance, which read 0600 exactly. Chapter 3 The Sergeant didn’t pause to look at Ash as he began walking along side him, intently focusing on the journey ahead. Ash gave the Arctic Vulpine a quizzical glance before directing his own eyes onto the scene in front of him. Sergeant T’en appeared to be leading Ash down the valley that led up to the massive door. Off to his left he counted at least ten tents the same shade as his uniform lined up against the rock wall, each with a few soldiers idling about in front of them. Chapter 2 The wind blew steadily over the plain, sending ripples across the vast expanse of grassland. The tall grass bobbed up and down with the gusts, generating contrasting waves of dark and light that moved along like intangible, sideways trains. The air was cool and crisp, filled with the sound of the wind and occasionally split by the call of a field bird. Why hello there fellow deviant! I am soldierbob, or Soldier Bob, or Soldier, or Bob, whichever you wish. I am in college, and unfortunately I don't do a whole lot of drawing. I am actually more of a writer than anything else, so if I feel up to it, I might post some of my works as well.

Well well well, looks like I'm still not dead. As you may have noticed, I just posted a three-part short called "The Eternal Trials". This is probably the first short I've actually finished in quite some time, and I'm quite proud of it. So it's been a while since I've updated anything, so I figured I'd let everyone know what is going on. In June I officially graduated from high school and just last month moved on to the big leagues of secondary education. Over the summer I was working five days a week, and now I go to class four days a week and work on weekends. So producing content of any kind just kinda fell over to the back burner. The Stardust Initiative is still on going, I have not dropped that yet. It's just going to be, like I said, on the back burner. But, I'm now currently enrolled in a creative writing class, so I may get around to posting some of the stories I
